What Matters To Me
Shared below are some important parts of my life, which I hope give you more insight into who I am as a person and a neighbor.

Community & Care
Being a public school educator for ten years taught me the importance of ensuring everyone in a community feels connected. One thing I appreciate about White Bear Lake is the effort it makes to provide spaces for our veterans to gather. My family also attends Marketfest almost every week during the summer, and we spend most summer nights outdoors with our neighbors. I believe in caring for one another, and that in order to do so, we must also care for those caring for us, such as our first responders and city staff.
Opportunities & Openness
I didn’t grow up here like many, but have found ways to become more involved in the city. I have many years of volunteer service at various levels and hope that, as your City Council member, you'll trust me to advocate on your behalf. I believe in making certain that everyone feels their voice is heard and hope to provide more informal opportunities for the people who live in White Bear Lake to connect with me. City Council members have the responsibility to listen to the questions or concerns of those they serve. I will aim to remove the barriers people might experience when trying to engage in local government, as I understand how intimidating it can be.

Economy & Environment
One of the many reasons my family and I chose to settle in White Bear Lake is because we love the beautiful landscapes and the local businesses. While these two things may not seem obviously connected, I see them as essential for a thriving community. I was raised by two small business owners and understand the sacrifices they make. I know shopping locally is not only better for our economy, but also better for the environment. We have beautiful spaces in White Bear Lake and it is part of what draws people to visit our city and shop downtown. Working in the sustainability field for the past three years and having a Master’s in Natural Science and Environmental Education, I understand it's crucial to uplift our small businesses in order to support our environment and use resources wisely.
